Welcome to the BalticLABS online store.
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (hereinafter referred to as the "Terms") govern the use of the website www.balticlabs.net, as well as the legal relationship between BalticLABS and the customer regarding the ordering, purchase, delivery, and return of products.
Before using our website or placing an order, please read these Terms carefully. By placing an order, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree with any provision of these Terms, please do not use our website or place an order.
These Terms apply to all visitors of the BalticLABS website, whether registered or unregistered, as well as to all individuals and legal entities using our services.
1. Seller
The BalticLABS online store is operated by:
For the purposes of these Terms, UAB "Advauto" may hereinafter be referred to as the "Seller", and the online store may be referred to as "BalticLABS."
2. Definitions
For the purposes of these Terms, the following definitions shall apply:
- Seller - UAB "Advauto", the operator of the BalticLABS online store.
- Customer - any natural or legal person who places an order through the BalticLABS online store.
- Parties - the Seller and the Customer collectively.
- Products - all products offered for sale on the BalticLABS website.
- Online Store - the website located at www.balticlabs.net.
- Order - a request submitted by the Customer to purchase one or more Products through the Online Store.
3. General Provisions
3.1. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement governing the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of both the Seller and the Customer.
3.2. By placing an order, the Customer confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to comply with these Terms.
3.3. The Seller reserves the right to amend, supplement, or update these Terms at any time. Any updated version shall become effective upon publication on the website unless expressly stated otherwise.
3.4. The version of the Terms in force at the time the Customer places an order shall apply to that particular order.
3.5. BalticLABS reserves the right to modify the content of the website, product assortment, prices, technical specifications, product descriptions, and any other information published on the website at any time without prior notice.
3.6. All rights relating to the website content, including its design, text, logos, photographs, graphics, and any other materials, are owned by BalticLABS or their respective lawful owners and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
4. Customer Eligibility
4.1. BalticLABS products may only be purchased by individuals who are at least 21 years of age.
4.2. By placing an order, the Customer confirms that they:
- are at least 21 years of age;
- provide accurate, complete, and truthful information;
- have the legal capacity to enter into a binding purchase agreement;
- will comply with all applicable laws and regulations in their country of residence.
4.3. The Customer shall be solely responsible for any inaccurate or incomplete information provided and for any consequences arising therefrom, including delivery failures, additional costs, or the inability to fulfill the order.
4.4. BalticLABS reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or cancel an order, or to request additional information or verification where there are reasonable grounds to question the accuracy of the information provided or the legality of the order.
5. Intended Use of Products and Restrictions
5.1. Unless expressly stated otherwise for a specific product, all products sold through the BalticLABS online store are intended exclusively for scientific, laboratory, and analytical research purposes (Research Use Only - RUO). Prior to purchasing, storing, transporting, handling, or using any product, the Customer is responsible for reviewing the applicable Safety Data Sheet (SDS), which contains important information regarding the product's properties, potential hazards, safe handling procedures, storage requirements, transportation guidelines, and disposal instructions.
5.2. Products sold by BalticLABS are not intended for:
- human consumption;
- medical use;
- disease diagnosis;
- treatment of any disease;
- prevention of any disease;
- veterinary use;
- use as dietary supplements;
- cosmetic manufacture or cosmetic use;
- any purpose inconsistent with their intended use as laboratory research products.
5.3. All information published on the BalticLABS website is provided solely for scientific and informational purposes. Product descriptions, summaries of scientific publications, research findings, or any other information provided on this website shall not be interpreted as:
- medical advice;
- a physician's recommendation;
- a method of treatment;
- a guarantee of product efficacy or performance;
- individual healthcare advice.
5.4. References to scientific publications, clinical studies, or pre-clinical research are provided solely for informational purposes to summarize publicly available scientific literature and shall not be interpreted as advertising claims, medical claims, or endorsements made by BalticLABS.
5.5. By purchasing products from BalticLABS, the Customer acknowledges that they understand the intended purpose of the products and undertake not to use them for any purpose that is inconsistent with these Terms or applicable laws and regulations.
5.6. BalticLABS reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or cancel any order where there are reasonable grounds to believe that the products may be used for purposes inconsistent with their intended use or in violation of applicable laws.
5.7. BalticLABS shall not be liable for any use of its products that is inconsistent with these Terms, the applicable Safety Data Sheet (SDS), or any applicable laws and regulations. The Customer assumes full responsibility for the lawful purchase, storage, handling, transportation, and use of all products supplied by BalticLABS.
6. Product Quality and Information
6.1. BalticLABS is committed to supplying high-quality products intended for scientific research purposes and makes reasonable efforts to ensure that all information published on the website is accurate, clear, and regularly updated.
6.2. Product specifications, descriptions, photographs, packaging design, labels, and other product-related information may be modified without prior notice, provided that such changes do not adversely affect the quality or essential characteristics of the product.
6.3. Product images are provided for illustrative purposes only. The actual appearance of the product, including its label, packaging, color, or other visual characteristics, may differ slightly from the images displayed on the website. Such differences shall not be considered a product defect.
6.4. Where a Certificate of Analysis (COA) is provided for a specific product, it is intended solely to confirm the product's identity and quality specifications. A COA shall not be interpreted as authorization or approval for any use other than scientific research purposes.
6.5. BalticLABS does not guarantee the continuous availability of all products. If, after an order has been placed, a product becomes unavailable, the Customer will be informed as soon as reasonably possible. In such cases, BalticLABS may, at its sole discretion:
- offer an equivalent or comparable product;
- offer to fulfill the order once a new batch becomes available; or
- issue a full refund of the amount paid for the unavailable product.
7. Placing Orders
7.1. The Customer places an order by selecting the desired products, adding them to the shopping cart, and providing all information required to process and fulfill the order.
7.2. The Customer undertakes to provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information necessary for the proper processing and delivery of the order.
7.3. By placing an order, the Customer confirms that they have:
- read and accepted these General Terms and Conditions;
- read and accepted the Privacy Policy;
- read and accepted the Research Use Policy; and
- agreed to comply with all provisions contained therein.
7.4. An automatically generated order confirmation email serves only as confirmation that BalticLABS has received the Customer's order. A purchase agreement shall be deemed concluded only when BalticLABS has accepted the order, received payment (where advance payment is required), and commenced processing the order.
7.5. BalticLABS reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or cancel any order where:
- the ordered product is no longer available;
- the product price displayed on the website was clearly incorrect due to a technical or administrative error;
- payment cannot be successfully processed or verified;
- there are reasonable grounds to suspect fraud or unauthorized activity;
- the order violates these Terms or any applicable laws or regulations. In such cases, if payment has already been received, BalticLABS will refund the full amount actually paid by the Customer.
8. Pricing
8.1. All product prices displayed on the BalticLABS website are stated in Euros (EUR). Where applicable, prices include Value Added Tax (VAT) in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Lithuania. Where VAT is not applicable or a different tax regime applies, this shall be clearly indicated in accordance with applicable legislation.
8.2. Product prices may be changed at any time without prior notice. Any changes in pricing shall not affect orders that have already been paid for and accepted by the Seller.
8.3. Shipping costs are not included in the product price unless expressly stated otherwise. The final shipping cost is calculated automatically during checkout based on the selected delivery method and delivery location within Lithuania.
8.4. BalticLABS reserves the right to correct obvious pricing errors resulting from technical or human error. If an order has been placed at an obviously incorrect price, the Seller reserves the right to cancel the order and refund all amounts paid by the Customer.
9. Payment
9.1. Orders are paid by bank transfer using the payment instructions and order reference provided during checkout and in the order confirmation.
9.2. Order processing will commence only after the bank transfer has been received and successfully matched to the order, unless otherwise expressly agreed.
9.3. BalticLABS does not request, store, or process payment card details because card payments are not offered. The Customer is responsible for entering the correct order reference when making the bank transfer.
9.4. If the bank transfer is not received, cannot be identified, or is subsequently reversed, BalticLABS may suspend or cancel the order until full payment has been successfully confirmed.
10. Delivery
10.1. BalticLABS makes reasonable efforts to dispatch all confirmed orders as quickly as possible. Orders are generally dispatched within 1-2 business days, unless a different dispatch timeframe is specified for a particular product or during the checkout process.
10.2. Delivery times depend on several factors, including:
- the selected shipping method;
- the delivery location or selected parcel locker within Lithuania;
- courier service operations;
- seasonal demand and parcel-network capacity;
- other circumstances beyond the reasonable control of BalticLABS. Any delivery times provided are estimates only and shall not be considered guaranteed delivery dates.
10.3. Once an order has been dispatched, the Customer will receive a shipment tracking number by email, where such service is available through the selected carrier.
10.4. The risk of accidental loss of or damage to the Products passes to the Customer when the Products are delivered to the Customer or to a person designated by the Customer.
10.5. BalticLABS shall not be liable for delivery delays resulting from:
- actions or delays of courier companies;
- temporary parcel-network or transport disruptions;
- force majeure events;
- any other circumstances beyond the reasonable control of BalticLABS.
11. Failed Delivery
11.1. The Customer is responsible for providing an accurate delivery address and any other information necessary for successful delivery of the shipment.
11.2. If delivery cannot be completed due to reasons attributable to the Customer, including but not limited to:
- an incorrect or incomplete delivery address;
- an incorrect telephone number;
- failure to collect the shipment from a parcel locker;
- refusal to accept the shipment;
- an unsupported delivery address or parcel locker outside Lithuania;
- failure to provide information required by the selected carrier, BalticLABS shall not be obliged to resend the shipment at its own expense.
11.3. If a shipment is returned to the Seller due to reasons attributable to the Customer, the Customer shall be responsible for all actual costs associated with reshipping the order.
11.4. If the Customer chooses not to have the order resent, BalticLABS may refund the purchase price of the Products after deducting:
- the actual shipping costs incurred (EUR 6.00 excluding VAT for shipments returned from parcel lockers; EUR 21.79 excluding VAT for shipments returned by courier due to failed delivery);
- a shipment preparation and handling fee of EUR 12.40 excluding VAT, covering order preparation and packaging costs;
- any other reasonable expenses incurred in processing and fulfilling the order.
12. Product Storage
12.1. The Customer is responsible for the proper storage of all purchased Products from the moment they are received.
12.2. Products must be stored in accordance with the storage conditions specified in the product description, product label, Safety Data Sheet (SDS), or any accompanying documentation.
12.3. Where a Product is specified to be stored under refrigerated conditions or within a specified temperature range, the Customer shall ensure that such storage conditions are maintained immediately upon receipt of the shipment.
12.4. BalticLABS shall not be liable for any deterioration in product quality or changes in product characteristics resulting from improper storage, handling, transportation after delivery, or any other circumstances beyond the Seller's reasonable control.
13. Product Returns
13.1. BalticLABS strives to ensure that all Customers receive Products that are of high quality and properly packaged. If you receive a damaged, incorrect, or defective Product, please contact us without undue delay.
13.2. Due to the specific nature of the Products supplied by BalticLABS, their quality depends directly on proper storage, transportation, and handling. Accordingly, Products may only be returned in the cases provided for by these Terms and applicable laws.
13.3. Before returning any Product, the Customer must contact BalticLABS and obtain written authorization together with return instructions. Products returned without prior authorization may be refused.
13.4. Returned Products must:
- be returned in their original packaging, where reasonably possible;
- include all original components supplied with the Product;
- not have been additionally damaged due to improper storage, handling, or transportation after delivery.
13.5. If a returned Product has been damaged as a result of the Customer's actions or failure to comply with the applicable storage conditions, BalticLABS reserves the right to refuse the return or reduce the refundable amount proportionately to the loss in value, where permitted by applicable law.
14. Refunds
14.1. Refunds may be granted in the following circumstances:
- where individually agreed with the Customer;
- where the Customer's complaint is determined to be justified;
- where BalticLABS is unable to fulfill the order due to reasons attributable to the Seller;
- where the order is cancelled before dispatch;
- in any other cases provided for under the laws of the Republic of Lithuania.
14.2. Where a refund is approved, it will normally be issued using the same payment method originally used by the Customer, unless otherwise expressly agreed.
14.3. Approved refunds are generally processed within five (5) business days, although the actual processing time may vary depending on the payment service provider.
14.4. Where an order is returned due to reasons attributable to the Customer (including, but not limited to, an incorrect address, failure to collect the shipment, or refusal to accept delivery), BalticLABS reserves the right to deduct the actual shipping, return shipping, and administrative costs incurred from the refundable amount.
14.5. The submission of a refund request does not automatically entitle the Customer to a refund. Each request shall be assessed individually in accordance with these Terms and applicable legislation.
15. Product Quality Claims
15.1. If the Customer believes that they have received a defective Product or a Product that does not correspond to the order, they must notify BalticLABS within 48 hours of receiving the shipment.
15.2. When submitting a claim, the Customer should provide:
- the order number;
- a description of the issue;
- photographs of the Product and its packaging;
- any other information that may assist in evaluating the claim.
15.3. BalticLABS will review the information provided and, where necessary, may request additional information or require the Product to be returned for inspection.
15.4. If it is determined that the Product failed to meet the required quality standards due to reasons attributable to BalticLABS, we may, at our sole discretion:
- replace the Product with a new one;
- supply the missing Product or missing components;
- issue a full or partial refund.
16. Product Quality Assurance
16.1. BalticLABS works only with suppliers that apply established quality control procedures and are able to provide documentation confirming product quality where such documentation is available.
16.2. Where available, Products may be supplied with a Certificate of Analysis (COA), batch number, or other quality control documentation.
16.3. BalticLABS makes reasonable efforts to ensure the quality of all Products until they are handed over to the shipping carrier. However, BalticLABS cannot be held responsible for any changes in product quality or characteristics resulting from failure to follow the recommended storage or transportation conditions after delivery.
16.4. If reasonable concerns arise regarding the quality of a particular product batch, BalticLABS reserves the right to temporarily suspend sales of that batch, conduct additional quality assessments, or permanently withdraw the batch from sale.
17. Intellectual Property
17.1. All content published on the BalticLABS website, including but not limited to:
- the BalticLABS logo;
- trademarks;
- website design;
- product photographs;
- graphic design;
- written content;
- product descriptions;
- summaries of scientific publications;
- tables;
- illustrations;
- audio and video materials;
- source code; constitutes the intellectual property of BalticLABS or its respective lawful owners and is protected by the intellectual property, copyright, and related laws of the Republic of Lithuania and applicable international legislation.
17.2. Without the prior written consent of BalticLABS, it is prohibited to:
- copy any content from the website;
- distribute or publicly publish website content;
- use the BalticLABS logo or trademarks;
- reproduce product descriptions;
- use website photographs for commercial purposes;
- collect website data using automated tools, including bots, crawlers, scrapers, or similar technologies.
17.3. Limited quotations from the website may be used only where the original source is clearly identified and provided that such use complies with applicable copyright laws.
18. Privacy and Personal Data Protection
18.1. BalticLABS respects the privacy of every Customer and is committed to processing personal data in accordance with:
- Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation - GDPR);
- the applicable laws of the Republic of Lithuania;
- our Privacy Policy.
18.2. Personal data provided by the Customer is processed solely for the following purposes:
- order administration;
- product delivery;
- payment processing;
- customer support;
- compliance with legal obligations;
- improving the functionality and performance of the website.
18.3. BalticLABS does not sell or disclose Customers' personal data to third parties for marketing purposes. Personal data may only be disclosed to:
- payment service providers;
- shipping and courier companies;
- accounting service providers;
- public authorities where required by applicable law.

19. Limitation of Liability
19.1. BalticLABS makes reasonable efforts to ensure that the information published on its website is accurate; however, it does not warrant that all information will at all times be complete, accurate, or continuously up to date.
19.2. BalticLABS shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from:
- improper use of the Products;
- use of the Products for purposes other than their intended use;
- improper storage of the Products;
- actions or omissions of third parties;
- actions or delays of courier companies;
- actions of delivery-network operators;
- inaccurate or incomplete information provided by the Customer;
- circumstances beyond the reasonable control of BalticLABS.
19.3. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, BalticLABS shall not be liable for indirect or consequential damages, including but not limited to:
- loss of profits;
- business interruption;
- loss of data;
- loss of reputation or goodwill;
- any other indirect or consequential losses.
19.4. Nothing in these Terms shall be interpreted as limiting or excluding any mandatory consumer rights granted under the laws of the Republic of Lithuania or applicable European Union legislation.
20. Force Majeure
20.1. BalticLABS shall not be liable for the total or partial failure to perform its obligations where such failure results from events of force majeure.
20.2. Force majeure events include circumstances that BalticLABS could not reasonably foresee, control, or prevent, including, but not limited to:
- natural disasters;
- fires;
- floods;
- wars;
- terrorist attacks;
- pandemics;
- epidemics;
- strikes;
- power outages;
- internet or telecommunications failures;
- actions of governmental authorities;
- restrictions imposed by competent authorities;
- transportation system disruptions.
20.3. Where a force majeure event occurs, BalticLABS' obligations shall be suspended for the duration of the force majeure event.
21. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
21.1. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Lithuania.
21.2. Any dispute arising between BalticLABS and the Customer shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiations.
21.3. If the Parties are unable to reach an amicable settlement, the dispute shall be resolved by the competent courts of the Republic of Lithuania in accordance with applicable legislation.
21.4. Where the Customer qualifies as a consumer under applicable law, they shall also have the right to refer the dispute to the competent consumer dispute resolution authority in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Lithuania.
22. Final Provisions
22.1. These Terms shall enter into force on the date they are published on the BalticLABS website.
22.2. If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, such provision shall not affect the validity or enforceability of the remaining provisions.
22.3. BalticLABS reserves the right to amend, supplement, or update these Terms at any time. The latest version shall always be available on the website.
22.4. By accessing the BalticLABS website or placing an order, the Customer confirms that they have:
- read these Terms;
- understood these Terms;
- agreed to comply with these Terms;
- read and accepted the Privacy Policy;
- read and accepted the Research Use Policy; and
- agreed to comply with all policies and rules applicable to the BalticLABS website.
